instead of when the person follows you they friend request you and you guys can invite eachother to canvases and art jams and for the chat you can chat with your friends

there should be a button where you can add users as a friend next to follow button it will be like a dark grey button and when you friend request them it will be in the notfications this should be added and i hope it will exist soon

Able to turn both-sided followed people into friends (not automatically, you need to send a request to them first) and while opening a new drawing there would be an option (similar to searching for the followers and add them inside the drawing) so it's easier to add them inside.

I know we can now follow other people as 'followers', however it'd be need to directly friend them so you can see who's online and who's not. by doing this we can see their latest art projects, and if given permission through 'friend settings', we can add comments to them. it'd also be cool to have a little text bar with each buddies contacts so pals can chat to each other even when across the world. - p.s Frigiboalover.
